How to Measure Windows:


The first thing that you should do is measure the windows that you intend to secure with window security film.Window security film is measured and installed on the inside surface of the window, it is not applied to the outside.

You will need before you get started:

  1. Measuring tape
  2. Pencil
  3. Paper or a notebook
  4. Calculator
Take the measurements of glass panel width and height in inches with measuring tape. Note Down Each window measurement and place (room/left/right/1/2..etc)

How to Cut Security Film

 

You can Cut Window security films Horizontally or vertically .The standard width of security film is 60". So Cut Verical or Horizontal which fits best to your required glass pane size and make less wastage.Simply Do not Confuse yourself .cut 1/16" short from all side than measured size ..Use Table with Cutting mate ,Knife and Straight Edge for cutting.

How to Prepare Soap Water:


Add 1-2 Tablespoon of Johnson baby Shampoo in Spray Water bottle.Mix it and you are ready.

Clean Glass Panes:



After all security film cuts from the roll, Next step is to clean glass surface
During the initial cleaning of the glass , it is important to remove and stickers, dirt etc. off the glass surface. Use Scrapping tool,Squeegee and Soap Water sprayer to perform this step.Spray Soapy Water on Glass,Scrap out All Dirt and Glue ,Squeege Window .Lint Free towels lint free towelsare critical in the initial cleaning of your glass prior to installation. The use of standard paper towels or rags can leave pulp and unwanted particulates on the glass.We include a roll of lint free shop towels.Completely Clean glass Surface.

Install Security Film to Glass Pane:



  1. After Cleaning Completely, Spray glass surface the Soap Solution
  2. Spray the Soap Soap solution on back of release liner of the security film.
  3. keep your hand Wet with soap solution.
  4. Remove Release liner and Spray the Soap solution in inner adhesive side of the film
  5. Completely Spray again Soap solution on adhesive side of the security film.
  6. Take and place Film to Glass pane and Keep adhesive side towards glass
  7. Spray Soap solution on outer side of the film Set the security film from all the side.If you think there is excess film going towards the frame
  8. Make sure there is a 1/16" gap from all side between the film and frame/gasket .If not trim out excess film with 5 way tool
  9. squeege with blue max and take out all water from between the film and glass.
  10. Use Shop Towel and 5 Way tool to take out any water/moisture from the edges.
Optional for more Protection and for Tempered glass :
  1. Use Dow Corning 995 Silicone Caulking for caulking around the edges for tempered glass.
  2. Alternatively use different mechanical anchoring (Need Professional Security Film Installer)
